So I’ve spent most of my life in sales or marketing and I’ve been marketing on this old interwebs for a few years now. Started off with the whole HTML jazz, Adsense, creating pages, logos and writing a whole bunch of stuff myself, then moved onto creating some horrible looking videos with my little flip camera and did a bit of promotion for some other businesses for some cash on the side.

Funny enough, I managed to land some pretty big consulting jobs. Nothing special, just advised a $50 million dollar company on their marketing. Made me a bunch of money, and made them even more. Decided it was about time I shared some of the stuff I’d been using (Mum always told me it was better to share) since so many businesses just didn’t seem to ‘get’ how this whole strategic marketing thing works…

“Ok, You’ve reached a ceiling, your marketing costs aren’t affective and you don’t know how to take your business further? Or you want to start a business, but you have no idea how to sell or market it? You’re not selling to your existing customers? You don’t have a database? You don’t know what makes your business unique? You don’t know why people buy? You don’t know how to generate traffic? Or have a sales funnel? hmm… Ok, we’ve got some work to do.”

Anyway, aside from the whole internet marketing thing, I did a little bit of research and study. Ok, I did a LOT of research and study. No, I’m not talking about boring University stuff. Do people still do that?

I’m talking about hardcore business stuff. Fancy military strategies and world leader influencing style. Strategic marketing that allows you to dominate markets. You know, seriously cool stuff. Stuff that has made massive changes in society and makes you a bunch of money instead of working for someone else and hating your life. Stuff that you actually enjoy doing and is FUN.

Wow, I bet that word shocked a lot of business owners. No it’s not F.U.N. Forced Utilitarian Narcissism. I’m talking about the stuff you do because you like it, not because you’re getting paid for it. Getting paid is a bonus, loving what you do is #1.

So, after a whole heap of research and study, I decided to see if this seriously cool stuff actually works in real life. Turns out, it was used for some of the biggest campaigns in history and all of the top 500 companies in the USA use it. Neat. Not a bad way to test some theories. What about the most successful business people I know? They use it to make tonnes of money too? Cool. What about if I try using some of it with my clients? They get results too -what do ya know! I think we’re onto a winner!

What should I do now? Help other people by giving it to them… yay!
